Most disapprove of Obama’s job as POTUS
The new CNN/ORC sampling released on Friday said that 51 disapprove of Obama’s role in the Oval Office, compared to 47 percent approving.
Over half of Americans have soured on President Obama’s overall presidency, a new poll says. Eighty-nine percent of Republicans now disapprove of Obama (82 percent did in July), while just 15 percent of Democrats disapprove (16 percent did in July).

Sixty-two percent said they disapprove of the way he’s handling the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, and a slim plurality – 48 percent to 47 percent – said they disapprove of his handling of climate change.

Fifty-five percent said policies being proposed by Republican leaders in Congress would move the country in the wrong direction, and 39 percent said the right direction.
Americans are frustrated with both political parties overall. And the partisan gap is growing on whether the U.S. should send ground troops to fight against ISIS.
The Democratic Party fares somewhat better, with the public about evenly split on whether they view the president’s party favorably (47%) or unfavorably (48%).
The Republican Party got a 54 percent unfavorable rating, up from 49 percent in May. His biggest boosters here are liberals.
The random telephone-based poll of roughly 1,000 U.S. adults was conducted August 13-15 with a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
