Mostly sunny today in the Wyoming Valley
It will be cold and dry to start the week in Central Illinois, but rain is expected as the weekend approaches, say forecasters with the National Weather Service in Lincoln. However, early Monday there was only a light dusting on cars and the shoulders of roads.
Both the National Weather Service and AccuWeather predict sunny skies Tuesday with a high near 30 degrees. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible. A hard freeze is when temperatures are in the mid to upper 20s.
After record-high temperatures throughout December, the Lehigh Valley is finally feeling the chill. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 41 and northwest winds near 5 miles per hour. If the partying stretches into the night, watch out for a low temperature of 23 ruining the night.
Monday offers snow with a high near 13 and a low around 9.
The overnight low of 17 degrees Sunday is only four degrees off from Monday’s expected high of 21 degrees. Cloudy. High temperature of about 47 degrees.
