Melissa Rivers on August 28, 2014 released a statement, in which she mentioned that her mother has been hospitalized and now she is much better. The update form the daughter of Joan, extinguished the anxiety of the fans and well wishers. After the arrival in New York the daughter spoke to the Us Weekly via Mount Sinai Hospital, reported Sid Dinsay.

Joan Rivers is stable

The statement quotes, “I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support for my mother.” She continued saying that her mother is now fine and is resting comfortably, while the family is with her. She has said, “She is resting comfortably and is with our family. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.”

The well known TV actress, comedian, writer and television host is out of danger and needs lots of blessing from the well wishers, says daughter Melissa.

Complications during throat surgery

The 81 years old TV personality on early Thursday was hospitalized in critical condition after she underwent complications during a throat surgery in a clinic in New York City. The comic legend and the ‘Fashion Police’ host stopped breathing during that complication and were rushed to the Mount Sinai hospital.

Transferred to medically induced coma

A correspondent from E! News, Ken Baker, during the mid-day tweeted that she is in stable condition. However, later a source said that she has been transferred to medically induced coma.

A source said that just a day back the legend performed at Laurie Beechman Theatre and had dinner at Amaranth Restaurant. As per the source, “She was cracking jokes all night. She was in really good spirits.”
