Mother whose car ploughed into lake charged with murdering children
A mother whose three children died after she drove her vehicle into a Melbourne suburban lake is being interviewed over their deaths.
Akon Guode, 36, was charged with the murder of 16 month-old Bol and four-year-old twins Hanger and Madit at an out-of-sessions court hearing on Monday.
Police say she is charged with three counts of murder and one of attempted murder.
The 36-year-old Wyndham Vale woman attended the Spencer Street police complex about noon today.
The three children died when the auto she was driving crashed into Lake Gladman in Wyndham Vale on April 8.
The father of the deceased children, Joseph Tito Manyang, previously told Fairfax Media Ms Guode had spoken to him of feeling not like her usual self, before the crash.
Ms Guode was physically supported as she cried outside the church.
It is understood she is now being interviewed by Homicide Detectives.
