Moto X Pure Edition coming September 3rd for $400 and up (probably)
In another news, Motorola is slated to release three new phones named Moto X Play, Moto G 2015, and Moto X Pure Edition. Hopefully the camera on the Moto X Pure Edition blows the one found on the Moto X 2014, out of the water.
There’s still a Google+ post mentioning the September 3rd launch date though. Update: Nope, that’s gone too.
In the past the Moto X has been a rather bland looking smartphone, even with Moto Maker in tow making everything all colorful and personalized. While LG jazzed the G4 up with a leather rear plate, Motorola has opted for a rubberized soft silicon to give the Style a unique twist.
Moto X Style, known as the “Pure Edition” stateside, will cost $399 for the base model. There are also two stereo speakers nestled away inside, offering a solid audio experience for music and video playback. The Moto X Style is different however and features the latest and greatest smartphone hardware. The new handset is expected to be powered by an Octa core processor. The notable exception being that the Pure Edition is unlocked and compatible with all major U.S. carriers, and it will come loaded with a more or less “pure” edition of Android. It should also be available from Amazon, Best Buy, and other stores. All that we were told was that it would be released sometime in November.
In terms of camera optics, the smartphone comes equipped with an impressive 13MP rear image sensor with interesting features including autofocus, 4X digital zoom, Dual-LED flash, Burst mode, touch focus, panorama, face detection, 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second. The handset comes with an all-day battery and a microUSB charging port, yet the phone weighs just 5.47 ounces.
