Motorola G5 and G5 Plus announced at MWC 2017
These new smartphone is Moto’s new G series always set new standard in the medium range of smartphones and this time these phones come with new design and better specifications. However, around Euro 189 (roughly Rs. 13,292) it was previously rumored that the smartphone would be priced lower than the Moto G4 at the time of launch.
Moto’s G5 Plus steps things up a few different ways. It is also splash proof and sports the front facing fingerprint sensor. If anything, they do resemble the more expensive Moto Z lineup a bit. Moto G5 Duo will be available in Lunar Grey, and Fine Gold color variants. “Both devices will feature 1080P displays with the Moto G5 measuring in at 5″ and the G5 Plus stretching it out to 5.2”.
On the other hand, the cheaper variant Moto G5 comes with a 5.0-inch full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS LCD panel with a pixel density of 441ppi. Both these devices feature Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The launch was extremely applauded as both handsets have an unbelievable design and specs considering that they will come with an abnormally low price.
Coming to camera department, Moto G5 packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and dual-LED flash.
Lenovo reduced the Plus to a 12 megapixel sensor as it utilises dual autofocus pixels. Its camera comes with a13-megapixel f/2.0 system with phase detect autofocus. The large f/1.7 aperture also lets in more light. It is powered by the 2.0GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM. The only difference which is encountered is that the Plus model will have some extra RAM memory as well as some extra storage space to work with. The phone is backed by 3000mAh battery and support connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC and micro USB port.

Similarities include Android 7.0 Nougat software, a front fingerprint scanner less ugly than on the Moto G4 Plus, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Expect the handsets to go on sale in March, with monthly contract prices likely to start at £25 per month.
Motorola’s best-selling phones, the budget Moto G series, have always offered a great bang for your buck, but they’ve never come close to premium devices in terms of quality. The smartphone doesn’t give any specific or bold look which is a loose point. It is more interesting to see what Lenovo offers by the time of Moto G5 and G5 Plus launch in India.
