Motorola Moto G (3rd gen) Devices in India gets Android Marshmallow Update!
Something to keep in mind is that if you own a carrier version of the Moto G 2015 then you will probably have to wait until early 2016 before you can get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA.
Google had announced the new version of android 6.0 Marshmallow. Doze allows your smartphone to go into a deep sleep when you are not using it. Definitely important for those that need their phone to last the entire day. This year’s Moto G left us pretty impressed, yet again, and now it’s getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow, before most flagships which will cost you around $600-750. The Indian model XT1550 is now receiving the Marshmallow update over-the-air (OTA).
The Moto G third gen also features the proprietary Motorola features such as Moto Display, Quick Capture along with Chop Twice. Motorola initially rolled out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the Moto E and now it’s rolling it out for the Moto G unlocked version. It’s a great feature – and sometimes you need to remember it’s there – and one that’s going to get better as time goes on. Talking about the specifications, the Moto G (Gen 3) features a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels resolutions protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass three on top. According to Android Pit, David Schuster announced on Google Plus that Marshmallow was beginning the rollout across Verizon, Sprint, and US Cellular. This will be paired with 1GB of RAM for the 8GB storage variant and 2GB RAM for the 16GB storage variant. The Moto G will come in the dual SIM configuration and will also support 4G SIM. It comes equipped with a 13.0-megapxiel rear camera with LED flash and a 5.0-megapxiel front facing camera for clicking selfies. The handset is power-packed by a 2,470mAh capacity battery that completes the package.
