Mourinho expected to meet Inter Milan chiefs this weekend
Jose Mourinho has confirmed he won’t be taking over as Inter Milan manager next season and once reiterated that he wants to return to football as soon as possible.
The Portuguese coach is already planning for life at Old Trafford and is desperate to sign the Inter Milan duo.
The former Inter Milan manager is understood to be heading back to his ex-club over the weekend to see Roberto Mancini’s side face Sampdoria at the San Siro.
“[When I attend a game] it will be very emotional for me – San Siro, the Inter fans”.
“My next club? I really don’t know”, he explained.
“I just know that I love football and I will be back with the same passion and ambition as ever, having during this period a respectful behaviour to every manager and every club”.
“He’s in the history of the Nerazzurri and his presence further strengthens the club”.
“I left Inter in 2010 and since then work was hard every day in Madrid and Chelsea, and it was difficult to find a moment to have lunch with the Moratti family”.
Roberto Mancini, the ex-Manchester City boss now in charge on Inter is under increasing pressure after a poor run of form saw his team slump to fifth in Serie A table, a slide which may invite the wrath of the club’s new owner Erick Thohir.
“I met Mourinho in Jakarta a few years ago before I was Inter President”, Thohir told Sky Italia.
During his time with the La Liga giants, Miranda won one Liga title, one Copa del Rey, one Europa League and reached the 2014 Champions League final.
