Mourinho explains Hazard omission from Villa clash
Chelsea Manager Jose Manager has ruled out any chance of Belgian Eden Hazard featuring for the side if he does not toe the line.
While Chelsea have conceded a lot of goals this season, it has to be said that second choice goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has performed admirably well and has perhaps been the Blues’ best player so far.
If Villa do end up with a run of results similar to the past eight, they may face the same struggle to get back to the top flight, with the lack of money a stark reality that may force the club to shed their best talent.
“I don’t see a player not happy to be here, or unhappy when they’re together”, added Mourinho.
“Pedro and Willian did incredible work and allowed the midfielders to be very comfortable”. Willian and Pedro did incredible defensive work on very good offensive players, Hutton and Richardson, and later Amavi.
“During pre-season I had contact with clubs, which is normal, because they know my statistics, but my intention is to stay here at La Real”, he said. This has to be a moment for the team and nothing else.
“When you don’t have the ball, quality means nothing and what means [thumps chest]…you have or you don’t have.
But I have had no indication that the clock is ticking”, he said. With both teams floundering in the league, there was an equal amount of pressure to get a result.
Jose Mourinho’s side are just two places above Villa in 16th, while Villa boss Tim Sherwood had to dismiss reports yesterday that he has two games to save his job.
The 23-year-old was substituted in the second-half of the match at the Stamford Bridge but created a few anxious moments for the Blues before he was taken off.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek got his first Premier League start of the season against Villa-Mourinho staying true to his word that he would give him his opportunity-but normally deployed in the pivot, the 19-year-old played as the No. 10 as the manager sought a solid defensive base. “We have to learn from our mistakes because it is costing us at the moment and when you are where we are in the league, they will continue to cost you”.
“Unfortunately we didn’t have that cutting edge which you’re going to need to win football matches”.
