Mourinho has many “complaints” after Manchester United loss
The pressure on Mourinho is increasing after every matchday as the Portuguese tactician has seemingly run out of ideas to arrest a slide at United.
United have opened the 2018/19 campaign in awful form, having lost three games in seven which included a League Cup exit at the hands of Championship outfit Derby County.
“I explained in detail to the people that have to know in detail, which is the squad and especially Paul”, said Mourinho, before United’s defeat to West Ham. They now lie 10th in the standings and face a midweek clash against Valencia in the Champions League as they seek to rebuild their confidence.
“I think there are some big decisions to be made at Manchester United now”, said United great Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport directly after the loss at the Olympic Stadium in London.
United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is desperate to avoid making a his third managerial change inside six years since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. “There has to be something said”.
It came after the French World Cup victor implicitly criticised his manager’s tactics, imploring United to attack more and as rumours continued to swirl linking him with a move to Barcelona.
“I don’t come here and say the training session was not very good, that the players are not committed and that I have a bad feeling”.
United have just 10 points after seven Premier League games -that meagre haul plus their negative goal difference means this is their poorest start since 1989-90, when they had picked up seven points at this stage of the season. And I always analyse a player as a player.
The midfielder is one of our best players and we need him to play well for the rest of the season.
Mourinho’s feud with Pogba has served only to exacerbate existing tensions and there is a throng of players who are close with the Frenchman and who, like the club’s record £89 million signing, have all -endured run-ins, many of them public, with the manager.
Alan Shearer is tipping Jose Mourinho to leave Manchester United as a result of the Paul Pogba saga this season.
Martial was one of the few to come out of the Derby defeat with any kind of praise, but he was disappointing against the Hammers. I don’t know. Who’s going to get more out of this team? United is on pace to lose 16 Premier League matches, which would put it woefully short of qualifying for the Champions League. “Any football club needs stability from top to bottom”.
Will they stick or twist?
