Mourinho: ‘Why is Wenger never under pressure’
“It is an imaginary list but clearly it is there”.
“I think in this country, only one manager is not under pressure“, Mourinho said.
While Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho insisted this week that they had set a risky precedent by essentially allowing retaliation, as reported by Sky Sports, Wenger believes there is a simple solution to the matter.
Mourinho started his interview by saying that only one manager in England who is never under pressure. We have to reach our objectives, so I have sympathy for all of them. “Good for him“.
When pushed to name who the one manager not under pressure was, Mourinho continued his attack on the Arsenal boss by stating that Wenger did not have repercussions to face.
“He can speak about referees, push people in the technical areas, can cry in the morning and afternoon, nothing happens. It’s a privilege”.
The Gunners boss says Monaco refused to sell him before his move to Manchester United.
“I don’t have a theory. I am in the list of the ones that can not”.
“If I answer I’m going to be suspended”.
Ranieri’s Chelsea knocked Arsenal’s invincinbles out of the 2003/04 Champions League, and the former Greece manager has enjoyed a strong start at the King Power Stadium. I’m on the other list. “It’s good for him”.
The decision to ban the Brazilian after rescinding the red card is curious at best, and fans and pundits struggled to wrap their head around the FA’s thinking.
ARSENAL defender Gabriel has seen the red card that he picked up during Saturday’s heated clash at Chelsea overturned following an appeal.
Chelsea are awaiting the reasoned decision from the FA on Costa’s suspension. “You can do that”. Mourinho declined to respond.
The Arsenal boss said that he didn’t sign Martial because he felt the youngster was more of a winger and he already has abundance of talent on the flanks at the Emirates. “No critics from me”.
And he reported a clean bill of health for his squad without saying whether Loic Remy or Radamel Falcao would stand in for Costa on Tyneside.
“There are things in every sport that we can learn from them, but football has a reputation for softness that is not true”, he said. Chelsea, I think they can now also win. “But in football, there are those who follow the players and those who buy them”.
