MQM chief criticised for calling out to ‘enemy’
Lahore- Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain’s offensive statements against Pakistan Army have exposed “evil face” and it has been proved that he is working for the enemies of the country. He said it was the UK authorities which have registered money laundering and Imran Farooq murder cases and not the Pakistani government. He said the draft of this letter is being prepared.
The Minister said Pakistan will fully cooperate with the UK government in the probe of both the cases.
While addressing to party convention Altaf Hussain said that India is a poltroon state because Indian government not want to save the “Muhajirs” living in Karachi. “The language used by Altaf was not at all of any patriotic Pakistani“, he added.
He brushed aside the notion that MQM is being targeted in the operation against criminals in Karachi.
No other party took to the streets nor asked for the operation to be ended, he claimed.
The Minister said the civil and military leadership is on same page regarding the Karachi operation. “As a result of the operation there has been noticeable decrease in rime and terrorism cases”. “They have been lodged by the country where the MQM chief has chosen to seek asylum in”.
Responding to a question the federal interior minister said that the media has ended live broadcasts of Husasin’s speeches and the government is also considering a blanket ban on airing his speeches.
We are examining the speech as a disclosure of attempting to abet waging of war against Pakistan and its institutions, said Nisar.
