MRI shows AJ McCarron sprained wrist in Bengals’ loss to Broncos

The Broncos (11-4) will win the AFC West, and claim a first round bye, with a home victory over the San Diego Chargers next Sunday, while the Bengals can not now claim the No 1 seed in the AFC and need a Broncos defeat to secure an extra week off. Monday night’s loss at Denver was the second. But our football team is moving forward.

The Cincinnati Bengals were allowed to convert on their first four 3rd downs leading to two long TD drives (80 and 90 yards).

There was a similar scenario on Monday Night Football.

Denver kicker Brandon McManus got another chance to win it for the Broncos in overtime and he made good on his 37-yarder giving his team a 20-17 come from behind win over Cincinnati.

After helping drive the the Broncos down the field in the final minutes of regulation and overtime, Daniels was walloped – WALLOPED! – crossing the middle of the field inside the 10-yard line.

After Green hauled in an 8-yard completion on the sideline, Burfict attempted to strip the ball from Green before shoving him further out of bounds. “We didn’t plan on doing that but it’s good to know that we can adjust”.

I’m not blaming Cincinnati or McCarron for the Chiefs issues.

But Osweiler rallied the Broncos to the win amid the storm caused by a television report which accused Manning of human growth hormone (HGH) use in 2011 following neck surgery.

AJ McCarron took his eyes off his center for a split-second to look at the coverage and both the snap and Cincinnati’s surest path to a first-round bye slipped away – along with a chance to earn the AFC’s top seed next week. “Once you get there, it’s about how you play, not really where you play, but… we’ve got a great opportunity this weekend”. If they win, they would either play at New England or at Denver – if today’s seeding stands. The Bengals finish with visiting Baltimore on Sunday.

The second-year player has been filling in for regular starter Andy Dalton, who broke a bone in his right thumb trying to make a tackle against the Pittsburgh Steelers on December 13. The second half was a completely different story. The Bengals punted on five of their six possessions.

It was Denver’s first second-half score in four games but it would not stop there.

Not that this was all McCarron’s fault. Finally, Bengal left tackle ANDREW WHITWORTH and tight end TYLER KROFT finishing off some more Denver defenders to clear the way for Sanu to speed into the end zone. “Our conversation at half-time was to pick up the tempo, show them a look they had not seen on tape”. An offense that was stuck in a deep freeze hadn’t scored a single point in the second half in three straight games, and this game was the third-coldest game in Denver history, with a starting temperature of 16 degrees.

McCarron finished 22 of 35 for 200 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions at Denver, facing the league’s top-ranked defense.

Otherwise, the Bengals’ hopes rest with McCarron.

“The ball was on the ground and I was feeling like, ‘There’s no way somebody’s going to take this ball from me, ‘” Broncos linebacker Ware said.
