Multiple deaths in shooting at Michigan courthouse
Shetamia Taylor got caught in the crowd Thursday, scattering from gunfire aimed at police.
The shooter was later killed, reports say.
WOOD-TV reports two court employees are dead as well as an in-custody inmate.
Officer Jorge Barrientos never saw the gunman. The deputy was in stable condition, but the condition of the others was not clear.
ABC News had reported that three people, including the gunman, had died. The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to requests seeking comment.
Sheriff Paul Bailey did not provide additional details on how the shooting happened.
Two people have been killed and several people injured including a sheriff in another shooting in the United States – this time at a courthouse in MI.
Gov. Rick Snyder said state police had secured the scene and were investigating.
A deputy and a civilian also were shot and sustained non-life threatening injuries, Bailey said.
