‘Multiple People Dead’ in Random Shootings in US

“We had several shootings tonight in the county and in the city of Kalamazoo”.

“We seem to be dealing with a worst case scenario, someone driving around shooting”, Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas told NBC News.

Local media said six people had been killed, with four shot at a restaurant and two killed at a auto dealership.

Matyas said the first shooting occurred at the townhomes complex, 5066 Meadows Blvd. around 6 p.m. There, a woman was shot in the parking lot.

Authorities could not be reached to confirm the reports.

Police do not have a suspect in custody at this time, but believe the shooter was in a light-colored GM-make SUV.

They are searching for a blue Chevrolet HHR wagon, like the one pictured in the tweet above. Deputies are asking anyone with information to call the Kalamazoo Sheriff Department.
