Mummy blogger is clearly fed up with people’s questions about her twins
An Australian mother has been under fire since sharing a staged photo online of her twin daughters wearing snarky signs bearing the answers to what she said are questions strangers ask frequently about her twin daughters.
Annie Nolan, 26, posted a photo of her twin daughters, Delphine and Cheska, with the placards taped to their stroller, IJReview.com reports.
The statements included: “Yes, they are twins”, “No, not identical”, “Born via C-section” and “Conceived by f–ing”.
She added that she felt “blessed” to have children. Yes, my hands full (sometimes with two glasses of wins just to get through).
‘And since I was heading into the city, I knew the questions would be coming thick and fast… but I chickened out on the train and took them off!’.
Since sharing the photo, which received more than 7,000 shares on her Facebook, Nolan was shocked to see that it had gone viral.
One person commented: “Just answer questions you want to and say respectfully decline the rest”.
However, not all of the attention has been positive for Ms Nolan, who has found herself having to fend off harsh criticism about her language and attitude.
“It was more ‘wouldn’t you love to do this somedays?’ to parents of twins”.
“However, it was mostly about the swear word on the sign, and also that I am ungrateful that I have children, and I am rude for not wanting to talk to people. It wasn’t how I intended it to come across”.
Ms Nolan also has four-year-old son Malachy with husband Picken.
Annie Nolan is a 26-year-old mother of three from Melbourne and she is exhausted of all your questions! “Eighty percent of people are fantastic and the twenty percent can leave you feeling a bit cross”, she wrote.
“But most people are really lovely”.
