Murder charge filed in ax-slaying of Detroit-area man
Gunderson had been staying in the home for several weeks.
Dart’s brother-in-law, John Phillips, told the paper that the victim tried to be “a mentor, and a parent figure” – inviting Gunderson on outings whenever he could.
Charged with first-degree murder, Gunderson is expected to be arraigned at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Wayne 29th District Court. “This took the breath out of them”. However, the circumstances surrounding his arrival is still reportedly unclear. “Your best defense is to be truthful”, Porter said. Quiet. There was no indication this was going to take place. At a few point later, Dart stepped outside and was blindsided.
Saturday, around 5:00 pm, Gunderson allegedly killed Dan Dart, 58, in the driveway of the home where Dart resided with his wife Marian, Gunderson’s grandmother.
Dart’s siblings and other relatives wonder why Gunderson left a good job working at a hospital in Fresno and showed up, unannounced, on Dan and Marian’s doorsteps about a month ago. “And he was trying to do that for this young man as well”.
There will be a memorial service for Dart on Thursday, .October 1, at First Baptist Church of Canton, 44500 Cherry Hill, Canton.
