Musa Denied Penalty As Leicester, Arsenal Draw
Leicester only suffered three losses last season, and two of those came at the hands of Arsenal, a team they haven’t won against in their last 19 Premier League 19 games.
Claudio Ranieri refused to criticise referee Mark Clattenburg after Leicester City had two penalty appeals waved away during their 0-0 draw against Arsenal.
Defending Premier League champions Leicester City are chasing their first win of the 2016-17 EPL season when they take on Arsenal, also hunting their first victory.
“So you never know, is it really a penalty or not?”
“I think Arsene thought Mertesacker and who he had in the squad was enough because he didn’t buy a defender before they were injured”, Henry told Sky Sports following Friday night’s 2-0 win over Southampton.
However, like Koscielny, the 20-year-old insisted Clattenburg was right to not award a late spot-kick.
The Gunners manager has faced a lot of criticism over the past week after the north London side suffered a 4-3 defeat by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.
“The referee made a very good performance and for me a penalty is when the referee whistles”.
“[New signings?] I’m a bit fed up to say the same thing, like we do not want to spend. It was vital. Hopefully next week we can build on this, score some goals and win a game”.
‘It’s a team which is well organised and it’s very hard to create chances’.
“We don’t speak about the performances anymore and I think that is not right”.
“Do not forget we are a club who has 600 employees who we have to have a responsibility to as well”.
“If we can find players who can strengthen our team, we are not reluctant to spend the money”. It was a game of top level intensity and I believe we responded well to last week’s disappointment. There is a whole team working on strengthening the team and I am not the only one.
