Muschamp: South Carolina star Deebo Samuel out for season

The Wildcats have looked underwhelming two games into a season that had as much hope as any recent ones in Lexington, Ky., and SC is a 6.5-point favorite. The senior threw for 224 yards and one touchdown and ran for 48 yards and another score and has thrown and run for a touchdown in three straight games.

Stoops said after the game that he had never seen that happen before.

SC has been able to overcome being out gained in its first two games by making a number of big plays.

Sophomore Benny Snell Jr has 170 yards through two games this season, after totaling over 1000 yards as a freshman. “We are not going to have excuses in this organization”. “We just stay on our technique, letting the line get to the blocks and do what they got to do”. But, to be down by only 6-0 after all of this is pretty good.

Now, the Gamecocks will have to figure out a way to replace the guy who has scored six of their 11 touchdowns this season.

South Carolina’s first two offensive drives of the second half were ended by fourth down stands by the Cats’ defense. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the SEC Network.

SC quarterback Jake Bentley threw for 304 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Kentucky played well from start to finish, but the Gators have simply had the Wildcats’ number in this matchup, so I’ll lay the points with Florida here.

After South Carolina missed another field goal, Austin MacGinnis continues to help. He even briefly returned to the game before it was determined he could no longer play.
