Muslim man offers Parisians hugs
Less than a week after the gruesome terrorist attacks in Paris, a muslim man stood in public wearing a blindfold asking people to embrace him.
In the wake of Friday’s Paris terror attacks one Muslim man has walked into Place de la Republic blindfolded in a show of faith in his fellow Parisians. If yes, hug me?’
People gathered around him, taking pictures and video footage of the wonderful exercise in trust.
A rough translation of the placard at the man’s feet reads: “I trust you, do you trust me?”
The social experiment was filmed and has since gone viral, touching millions around the world. Thank you for every single hug.
He also conveys a message that I don’t care about your religion, your God, your analysis.
A member of the crowd breaking into tears following the emotional scenes. While his black jacket had “I trust you, do you trust me?”
Feeling the unity, one person commented on the video: ‘My deepest empathy goes to the families of the victims. I want to tell you that “Muslim” doesn’t necessarily mean “terrorist'”.
The sign that touched so many with such a simple message of peace and acceptance.
