Muslims in Saudi Arabia, UAE celebrating Eid-ul-Azha today

Eid prayers were offered on Thursday morning where a large number of faithful offered Eid prayers.

Going by its years-long tradition, Masjid Qasim Ali Khan in Peshawar had announced to observe Eid-ul-Azha on Thursday, September 24 with the Saudi Arabia. Following the Eid prayers, the zealous citizens performed animal sacrifice, an obligatory duty for every well to do Muslim and distributed the meat among relatives, neighbours, deserving and poor.

The nation will celebrate Eidul Azha with great religious fervour on Friday to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).

In the Saudi capital of Riyadh, Muslims will congregate at 666 mosques to offer Eid prayers, while thousands will also gather in open spaces.

The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the peace, progress and well-being of the Ummah and Pakistan.
