My dad gave me a ‘small’ $1M loan
During his live town hall on TODAY Monday, Donald Trump was asked if he had even been told “no” outside his family.
“It has not been easy for me”, he continued.
Murphy said Trump, who continues to comfortably lead New Hampshire polls well past the point pundits predicted he’d flame out, “has an opportunity to close the deal by speaking particularly about policy”. “Trump I love you, I’m voting for you, but are you nice enough to be President?’ I said, ‘You know what, I really am a nice person, I give tremendous amounts of money away, I love to help people, I love people”, and you see from upstairs how many people showed up to see me.
Trump said that his father doubted him and felt his foray into Manhattan wouldn’t work out. “You said it hasn’t been easy for you but my dad gave me a million-dollar loan”.
Trump took questions from a dozen voters Monday in a basement room at the Atkinson Resort & Country Club. Trump explained his positions on everything from the war with ISIS and how he would handle Russian Federation to illegal immigration and the economy.
Trump is worth quite a bit more than that now.
Another voter pressed him on whether voters should simply believe that he will revive the economy based on his last name, or whether he has any specific plans to address economic challenges. “I came into Manhattan, and I had to pay him back and pay him back with interest”.
“But how?” the 21-year-old college student and entrepreneur asked again.
Trump said his father Fred, who owned a real estate company focusing on middle-class housing in Queens and Brooklyn, told him not to go to Manhattan for real estate opportunities because that wasn’t their “territory”. “It doesn’t mean anything”.
