Myles Garrett is so good, nobody knows who to compare him to
Already high on everyone’s draft boards, Texas A&M’s Myles Garrett impressed at the NFL Scouting Combine.
“6’4″, 272 pounds, 35.5″ arms, 10.25” hand, 4.64 40, 1.69 10, 33 bench.
With the National Football League combine in the rear view mirror, teams like the Cleveland Browns will further evaluate each prospect leading up to the National Football League draft next month. In fact, some have even mentioned that the gap between he and the rest of the field is much bigger than any draft over the years and that he is the best overall prospect since Andrew Luck. However, one source expressed some concern about Garrett to Cabot. “(Garrett) kind of combines the two worlds”, Jeremiah said. “I’m anxious about playing good for whichever team I go to”.
Clearly Lance has a bit more film to watch on Mr. Garrett, who is one of the hardest working players I’ve seen come through Aggieland. Then came the 40 yard dash. “I wasn’t myself throughout the whole season”. For BCS-era stats, just know that P5 refers to BCS automatic qualifying conferences and G5 refers to the non-BCS AQ conferences. The 6-5, 262-pound edge rusher has always been in the running to go to the Cleveland Browns with the number-one overall pick, and so far, he’s receiving rave reviews.
“I feel like I’m the best player in the draft”, Garett said. Perhaps there was someone else besides Garrett who also loaded up against weaker competition.
It’s still unclear what position Michigan’s Jabrill Peppers might play at the next level.
The Browns are in the market for a quarterback (because of course they are) so past Browns history says they will take a quarterback with the first pick.
But those are just the numbers.
And the guy who fits that description best may become the fourth defensive lineman to go No. 1 overall since 2000. Any of them could be busts. Garrett was almost three full inches higher. “We’re starting to have tight ends that can run now … the game is changing and you need safeties that can do everything in the backend that can cover and make the calls and tackle and just do what the coaches ask them to do”.
Heading into this past weekend’s Combine, Garrett nearly certainly had very little to lose.
Cleveland almost went 0-16 previous year with arguably the worst offense and defense in the league, after all, and has the fewest wins in the football (38) since it last finished a season with a winning record, in 2007.
