The Korea Meteorological Administration said Sunday that it had not detected another quake.
China’s natural disaster administration detected a second tremor of magnitude 4.6 minutes after the first from what it described as a “cave-in”. The natural disaster was detected at about six miles from North Korea’s Punggye-ri nuclear test site. That was revised up from an initial report of 5.6. He said sanctions did not appear to have slowed the advance of North Korea’s nuclear program, ‘but I don’t think harsh rhetoric does either’.
The second quake measured 4.6.
“If, as North Korea says, the Hwasong-14 intercontinental ballistic missile can now be equipped with a thermonuclear device like the one tested today, it means the North is very close to being able to deploy credible battle-ready nuclear weapons that can target the U.S”, O’Carroll added.

A Japanese government spokesman refrained from saying whether Abe’s reference to “the latest information” pertained to North Korea’s miniaturized hydrogen bomb claim. State officials said had earlier said that it had produced a smaller hydrogen bomb that could be used with a long-range missile, possibly capable of reaching the U.S. mainland.
The U.N. Security Council unanimously approved the tough new sanctions on August 5 in a bid to punish North Korea for its escalating nuclear missile programs.
President Donald Trump warned Sunday that the United States was considering cutting economic ties with any countries that do business with North Korea.
