NASCAR commish endorses Trump on eve of Super Tuesday
The Texas Republican is releasing geofilters on the photo messaging service that will show up to attendees of Trump rallies in Georgia and Virginia.
The Hill reported that Trump was joined onstage during the rally by NASCAR CEO Brian France and a group of race vehicle drivers endorsing the real estate mogul’s presidential campaign.
After Trump introduced France as a man who has done a “legendary” job for NASCAR, France took the microphone briefly to praise a man he’s known for more than 20 years.
With a strong showing in the upcoming Super Tuesday primaries, Donald Trump could strengthen his grip on the Republican Party’s presidential nomination.
The incident at Valdosta State was the second Trump campaign event of the day that made headlines. Trump is poised to lock down enough delegates to give him a sizable – and possibly insurmountable – lead over his GOP rivals.
Trump’s support from the NASCAR brass comes on the same day New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft endorsed Trump before Tuesday’s MA primary.
Donald Trump has even managed to split NACSCAR.
“I’ll tell you what, if the people that like and watch NASCAR vote for Donald Trump, they can cancel the election right now – nobody can win, nobody”, Trump told a cheering crowd at the rally in Georgia. “I think he’s a guy who can do some great things for us”. “I have not experienced any racism on this campus until now”.
After leaving the complex where the rally was held, the students reportedly argued outside with police officers, who told them that they needed to leave the premises. He defended the quote as “interesting”.
“We didn’t plan to do anything”, said Tahjila Davis, one of the students escorted out of the rally. In other words most of the region where NASCAR is wildly popular.
“Prior to 1963, the African American presence at Valdosta State was limited to staff in cleaning, cooking, and maintenance positions”, the website says.
