Nashua schools closed Monday after threat of violence
“Public safety is any government’s most important responsibility – especially at our schools – and we are closely monitoring the situation in Nashua”, Gov. Maggie Hassan said in a statement.

Nashua police said a school administrator received an email with the threat.
Superintendent Mark Conrad released a statement on the school district’s website explaining to parents, students and teachers that “a detailed threat of violence to harm students and staff” at the city’s two high schools was received, prompting school officials to cancel classes for approximately 11,500 students until Tuesday.
Authorities said schools in Nashua will be closed Monday due to threats of violence. We have been working closely with the Nashua Police Department, which is still working at this time to determine the credibility of the threat, ‘ Conrad said.
Conrad said the district is being “cautious” and schools will close out of safety.
