Nate Diaz Ready to Lose to Conor McGregor at UFC 202?

The release of the latest edition of UFC Full Blast shows the Canadian fighter sitting ringside while McGregor and Diaz did battle in March. Carvalho was rushed to the hospital after the fight and died from his injuries two days later.

In a statement posted to his Facebook page, the UFC featherweight champ wrote: “Terrible news regarding Joao Carvalho”. According to Bleacher Report, McGregor is most excited about this rematch because he feels he’s “better prepared” for this fight than he was for the last one, where Diaz unceremoniously beat McGregor. I helped train a guy to kill someone, and then someone wound up dying.

Reports since UFC 196 suggest that if McGregor had won, he would have been given a shot at (the now de-throned) Robbie Lawler for the welterweight title, but perhaps the call of a superfight against GSP would have been too hard to resist.

“I just hope he’s not up on that stage wearing that same stupid, black T-shirt he’s never out of”, McGregor said as Diaz, who was dressed in all black, cracked a smile.
