Nathan Fillion would love to play DC Comics’ Booster Gold
He said, “I think I could take a pretty good crack at Booster Gold”.
Another fictional DC Comics character who has been both hero and villain, Ambush Bug is a delusional human named Irwin Schwab who intercepted his super-suit – originally belonging to an alien being named Brum-El – after it crash-landed on Earth. Fillion, who is a sci-fi icon, has had comic book roles ranging from a prison inmate in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy to Green Lantern in animated Justice League movies.
As recorded ComicBook.com’s official YouTube Channel (via Screen Rant), a member of the audience asked which hero from either the Marvel or DC Comics universes he would be likely to play.
People have looked up to his roles for the longest time, and even though “Firefly” consisted only of one season with a total of 14 episodes, Captain Malcolm Reynolds was an unforgettable character who inspired many individuals.
For a second choice Fillion put his bid in for the obscure character Ambush Bug. Just as Fillion said, he likes to show off and wants to seek glory and attention for himself.
Aside from his high-level hand to hand combat skill, he also possesses advanced technology which gives him the ability to make flights, throw powerful blasts, create force fields, capacity to enhance his strengths, and other capabilities.
It’s interesting to note Booster Gold in particular, as we reported previously Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Phil Klemmer’s comments, where he claimed that despite Booster Gold’s son Rip Hunter being in the series, the character would not show up in the show and was perhaps being groomed for something bigger.
Would you like to see Nathan Fillion take on a superhero role?
There is nearly no question at the moment that Nathan Fillion is a busy guy. “It’s due for a reboot”, he argues.
