National Basketball Association star Lamar Odom hospitalized in Las Vegas
Former Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom was reported to be fighting for his life Tuesday after falling unconscious at a Nevada brothel.
The sheriff’s office said it received a call from a Bunny Ranch official who said Odom was experiencing a medical emergency.
An ambulance from Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Service arrived at 3:34 pm and the patient, identified as Lamar Odom was stabilized and transported to Desert View Hospital arriving at 4:16 pm.
At this time, Lamar is being airlifted from the hospital to Las Vegas for more treatment.
We’re told the woman began screaming for the manager – who called 911.
Hof, who had his own reality series, “Cathouse”, on HBO, said Odom had been staying at Hof’s home that is attached to the brothel since Saturday.
Hof reportedly told TMZ 35-year-old Odom was found unconscious in a VIP suite with fluid streaming from his mouth. Sources from the Love Ranch said Lamar was taking an herbal substitute for Viagra; it’s unclear whether he ingested other drugs or alcohol.
In TMZ’s report, an update noted that Kardashian, as well as her sister, Kim, and mother, Kris Jenner, were preparing to leave Los Angeles for Las Vegas, where they planned to visit with Lamar, and possibly, Joe Odom, if he is able to transport himself into town. Those issues led to his divorce from reality star Khloe Kardashian in 2013 after four years of marriage. E! News reports that Odom has not regained consciouness and the situation “does not look good”.
In seven seasons with the Lakers he averaged 13.7 points and 9.5 rebounds. In February a year ago, Lamar signed with a Spanish team on a two-month deal, but a month later he returned to the USA because of a back injury.
While there doesn’t appear to be any foul play suspected in the incident involving Lamar, Joe Odom isn’t convinced and feels his son must have been drugged.
He helped the USA win a bronze medal in the 2004 Athens Olympics.
Lamar Odom has been hospitalized. His father was a drug addict. In 2006, six-month-old son Jayden died from sudden infant death syndrome while sleeping in his cot in New York.
