National Basketball Association TV to Simulcast Show on Facebook
Just like how Cleveland brought back Kevin Love, LeBron James and Iman Shumpert this summer the Warriors kept basically their entire championship team intact.
National Basketball Association Digital plans to be the first to simulcast a TV show on cable and on Facebook.
Vince Cellini will host the show with former Cavaliers coach Mike Fratello.
“We have a long history with Facebook and are excited to team up with them for another first of its kind initiative”, said Albert Vertino, general manager of National Basketball Association Digital and a Turner Sports programming vice president.
National Basketball Association TV is airing several practices this week as part of its “Real Training Camp” series. After the Cavs program, it will be at the Grizzlies’ practice Friday. In fact, According to Marc Stein from ESPN.com, the Cavaliers are right now near the top of the power rankings and are expected to start the season as favorites to return to the National Basketball Association Finals.
The National Basketball Association began working with Facebook in 2007, and 33 players have more than 1 million fans – led by the Cavaliers’ LeBron James with 33 million.
