National Football League unveils Super Bowl Babies commercial
The NFL looks to be pulling out all the stops and leaving no storyline unvisited for Super Bowl 50.
According to the National Football League, the organization worked with eight of its teams to find babies born within cities that have won the Super Bowl since its inception.
Sung to the theme of Seal’s famous love song “Kiss from a Rose”, the ad features a chorus of fans of all ages who were conceived on Super Bowl Sunday.
On a larger scale, the amusing and oddly heart-warming clip does a nice job emphasizing the NFL’s “Football is Family” slogan. This group encompasses 49-year-old Green Bay Packer babies all the way to year-old Seattle Seahawks babies. While we can’t find any hard evidence to back up that claim, it sounds like Super Bowl Babies are the new Blizzard Babies.
The Pro Bowl used to be held the week after the Super Bowl (which itself was held the week after the conference championships), which allowed big game participants to participate in this last hurrah for the season. Seal also makes a cameo standing on a hilltop overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge with San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl Babies. Seal says he is “honoured” to be a part of the ad.
The Super Bowl remains the number one priority for marketers and the reinforcing of brand marketing.
The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 35 to 31 when Terry Bradshaw played one of the best Super Bowls as a quarterback ever.
