National Night Out events happening Tuesday
National Night Out is an annual event that aims to build communities and foster relationships between residents and police.
In Hermiston, there are a number of block parties.
Not all celebrations are sponsored by law enforcement agencies.
On Tuesday, communities across the nation will get together to celebrate National Night Out. There are several National Night Out events happening in the Valley including ones in Fresno, Madera, Merced, and Visalia.

Prince William County: Police will be visiting events in neighborhoods across the county. “But this is a way for them to get to know those officers, and interact with them and see that we’re not all bad, that we’re out there to help them”. The official National Night Out kick off is scheduled for 4 p.m.in the 1500 block of North Wisconsin Avenue between Kewaunee and St. Patrick streets. There will also be a DJ, two moon bounces and community resource tables.
