NatWest customers hit by online banking glitch
Today’s problems could be even more serious, arriving at the end of the month when customers traditionally look to draw down their monthly salary payments.
The bank said it was “aware of the issue” and that its team was “working hard to fix this”.
There is no indication why the online banking service is offline, but according to earlier posts on its Twitter account the website of the bank was running slowly for many people, while others say they can not access it at all.
NatWest customers have been left struggling to login to their online banking.
NatWest is investigating a fault with its online banking system, amid customers reporting they were unable to access their accounts.
Last year it was fined £56m by regulators after up to 6.5m customers from NatWest, RBS and Ulster Bank were prevented from accessing their accounts in 2012.
