The Cavs and Warriors are meeting for the fourth straight year for the right to be crowned National Basketball Association champions while it marks the eighth consecutive Finals appearance for James as part of a stretch that dates back to his stint in Miami.

James went on to note that he felt like the “odds were against” the Cavaliers from the summer.

“We wanted to keep our composure; stay focused on our goal to win the championship and this is how it went down. I can’t think of a bigger gap from a team perspective”.

The NBA Finals tip off this Thursday with Game 1 at Golden State, with the Warriors listed as 12-point favorites to earn the victory in the first game of the series.

James said that he and Iguodala were almost teammates but he was picked by Philadelphia 9th in the 2004 NBA Draft one spot before Cleveland would have taken him.
