Thornton was charged with failure to give info and aid an injured person.

That was the third suspension for Thornton, who sat out the 2013 opener after being charged with misdemeanor assault on a female. “I don’t know (Thornton)”.

The senior from Hinesville, Ga. was N.C. State’s leading rusher in his first three seasons and had 111 yards and two touchdowns in the Wolfpack’s 63-13 win at South Alabama last Saturday. Turner said previously that Thornton received counseling through a deferred-prosecution agreement that ultimately led to the dismissal of that charge.

Through four games in 2015, Thorton has rushed for 203 yards and three touchdowns.

Thornton just returned to action against Old Dominion this season after serving his most recent two-game suspension.
