Ne-Yo pays tribute to gun victims at Teen Choice Awards
A post on Grimmie’s official Twitter account by Brian Teefy, who discovered her on YouTube, had encouraged fans to vote for her in the Teen Choice Award category. The source adds, “The fans have a right to be upset”.

“For everyone complaining about the teen choice awards….” issued Dawson after Sunday’s show in a tweet coupled with a meme that reads “Don’t act surprised, I warned you”.
The casts of “Pretty Little Liars”, “Teen Wolf” and “Fuller House” were honored with several awards. The actress managed to win her first award, so she was given space to enjoy her fair share of the limelight.
Jason Derulo made sure to end the show on a high note.
Still, many took to social media to voice their displeasure that the Teen Choice Awards didn’t pay tribute to Grimmie, let alone acknowledge her once during the show.
Ne-Yo also performed a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On?” as images of the teens’ family members appeared on a screen behind him.
Earlier in the night, Justin Timberlake delivered a mostly serious speech while accepting the Decade Award in recognition of his achievements as a music artist and entertainer. “Now you guys get to tell the country who you want for president”, Key said as Cena and Justice came out onstage.
