NECA Toys director casually lets slip that Crash Bandicoot is coming back
NECA has a number of figures based on Sony franchises coming out this year, including Nathan Drake (Uncharted), Sakcboy (LittleBigPlanet), and Kratos (God of War) figures.

After almost a decade, Sony is apparently bringing back PlayStation icon Crash Bandicoot for a new game on the PlayStation 4.
“It’s not the case”, a NECA representative told the site.
The last Crash Bandicoot game released on home consoles was Crash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant in 2008 from publisher Activision.
The comment was made in an interview with PixelDan at the New York Toy Fair. We’ll update this post with anything we hear back.
From Sony exec’s wearing shirts with him on, to PlayStation twitter accounts tweeting about him, these are always telltale signs that something is happening.
Sony probably won’t reveal anything until E3 2016 in June, but it’s still great to see one of the golden PlayStation oldies might make a triumphant return.
As far as we know, Activision still holds the rights to Crash, but it’s possible Sony could have worked something out as an exclusive (after all, they’ve been getting quite cozy together with things like timed exclusivity with the Call of Duty map packs), or bought the rights back altogether. It was then followed by three more “Crash Bandicoot” games, as well as numerous spin offs including racing games and mobile games.
