Nene Leakes Gives Very Interesting Performance As Matron “Mama” Morton From
“Just sat with a bunch of mean girls turning up their noses, looking u up & down as if u don’t belong”, the reality star tweeeted after her appearance.
First of all, I have no idea why Nene was showing off pictures of her house in the first place, but what I really want to know is why none of the pictures of the interior have any furniture in them.
Nene Leakes retorted tartly that she didn’t want to show her possessions for security reasons and making the point the house was in a gated neighborhood.
Despite her awkward exchanges with Behar, Leakes finished the interview on a happier note.
During the segment, the reality star raved about her second wedding with husband, Greg Leakes.
But it wouldn’t be NeNe if she didn’t figure out a way to make a cameo on this season’s show. But in case there was any confusion about how Nene felt about the whole thing, she took to Twitter to explain.
Leakes will play Matron “Mama” Morton on Broadway beginning November 23, so when asked to display her musical prowess, the reality queen naturally chose the epic final lines of “When You’re Good To Mama”.
I like Nene, but let’s be real.
Leakes’ return on the series is truly unexpected, as she now has a lot of projects on her plate.
“I am absolutely loving it”, she said. We opened to 3.7 million viewers, so clearly we’re doing just fine without her. Listen, you can’t deny the fact that she is one of the originals, and she helped to build a platform that we have now, but times change.
“It was a little odd, you know, because Sheree and I, we are neighbors now, we live 500 feet from each other, we literally can walk to each other’s homes”, said Kenya.
“Stop it!” Behar joked (I think). “If I’ve got a black a blue mark, I’m ‘gonna sue your ass”, she said. She called me in pieces, and I remember that conversation, and I don’t like to see my friends hurting.
Earlier this month, a petition was started to get her removed from the show, following her comments defending Ben Fields, a police officer who used extreme measures to remove a disruptive high school student. Did you see that part?
