Netflix releases trailer for upcoming Chris Tucker standup special | theGrio
Before Chris Tucker became the star of the Rush Hour franchise, not to mention annoying the hell out of Bruce Willis in The Fifth Element, he was a rising stand-up comedian. Here’s the ideal wake-up call: the official trailer for Chris Tucker Live, Chris Tucker’s first-ever stand-up comedy special, launching exclusively on Netflix on Friday, July 10th.
Chris Tucker Live will debut July 10 on Netflix and will be able to be viewed everywhere the streaming service is available internationally. To me, that makes it even more surprising this is Tucker’s first stand up special.
This will be his first on-screen performance since he appeared in “Silver Linings Playbook” 3 years ago.
“Before people started seeing me in movies, I was doing standup”, Tucker said. “It’s always been a part of me, and now I’m excited to share it with my fans around the world”.
We won’t have to wait much longer to see what Tucker has up his sleeve, but for now, check out the teaser clip above and the promo art below.
Sued Over Netflix Special…
… Phil Joanou, best known for his films Rattle & Hum and State Of Grace directed the special which was filmed at the historic Fox Theater in his hometown of Atlanta during his successful 2015 tour.
