Netflix sets premiere date for ‘Longmire’
We’ll find out whether Walt can be stopped before he makes a fatal mistake-along with the fate of Branch (Bailey Chase)- when Longmire’s 10-episode fourth season debuts Thursday, September 10 on Netflix. The streaming service picked up the former A&E show when the network cancelled it after three seasons. But producers shopped the show around and Netflix made a deal in November to revive it.
The upcoming season, which explores second chances, picks up moments after the finale, in which Walt Longmire (Taylor) found out who was behind his wife’s murder. Based on the mystery novels of Craig Johnson, the contemporary crime drama stars Robert Taylor as Wyoming lawman Walt Longmire. But during his confrontation with this suspected killer, a gun went off. Katee Sackhoff, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bailey Chase, Cassidy Freeman and Adam Bartley also star, with Gerald McRaney and Ally Walker as guest stars. A fan campaign to save the series preceded its pickup by Netflix, which will launch season four in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand simultaneously.
The offbeat animated comedy “BoJack Horseman” was renewed for a third season.
