New 5 Days to Go Star Wars Commercial Released
Harrison Ford and Peter Mayhew in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Ford, who returns to his role as Han Solo in the new film, joined guests at Sydney Opera House as they watched a short preview of the film, which finally hits cinemas next week.
The film, the seventh in the series, has reunited original stars including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.
While Disney and Lucasfilm have not officially said which of the Hollywood theaters will be screening the film, there are three options within the area that’s closed off: The Dolby (which hosts the Oscars), El Capitan Theater, and the TCL Chinese Theater.
Caroline Ritter and Andrew Porters flew to Los Angeles from Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia, to camp outside the cinema until the movie is released in America this Thursday.
Nate Chukey, 45, has not moved from outside the TCL Chinese Theatre since Saturday, 5 December. He said seeing the film is only a small part of the experience. So if you’re not seeing the movie on opening day or even opening weekend, we won’t be posting spoilers on the front page or without ample warning so you don’t ruin anything for yourself. “However with JJ Abrams, old special effects, our favourite actors, the only thing left is the writing – it could be good, it could not be”. However, that also means that it’s going to get a lot more unsafe to be online soon as reviews and reactions following the premiere and likely a couple other private screenings begin to make their way online.
The Force Awakens will have its United Kingdom premiere in London on Wednesday.
Milwaukee theaters showing “The Force Awakens” include Marcus Theatres’ Hillside, Majestic, Menomonee Falls, North Shore, Ridge, Saukville, Showtime, South Shore and Southgate cinemas; Fox-Bay Cinema Grill in Whitefish Bay; IPic Theater at Bayshore Town Center in Glendale; AMC Mayfair Mall 18 in Wauwatosa; Landmark Oriental Theatre; and Neighborhood Theater Group’s Avalon Theatre and Rosebud Cinema.
