New Apple iMacs To Launch Soon
However, Apple witnessed slow growth in its iMac sales, which grew less than 5% between Q2FY15 and Q3 FY15. iMac’s sales are expected to grow at a much faster rate than previous quarters, analyst at KGI Research said.
The analyst sees Apple selling an impressive number of iMacs in the following quarter. The iMacs for this year’s release will focus on image quality with emphasis on color saturation improvements, which is made possible by using KSF, a new LED phosphor material. This will apparently involve the use of an LED phosphor material called KSF which will apparently help boost color saturation.
However, Kuo hasn’t revealed if Apple will extend the Retina display options to the smaller 21.5-inch iMac range.
Kuo did not confirm what iMac models will be receiving these updates. The last time that Apple updated its iMac lineup was in September 2013, as the company felt the need to wait for the release of new desktop processors from Intel. Professionals always want the highest resolution, and the iMac is now way ahead in that regard. Apple’s screen supplier, LG Electronics has hinted that a new version of the iMac will be launched later this year. The latter is yet to announce, if there’s any, the launching of the rumored device.
The thought of a new iMac being released during Apple’s 2015 Back to School event would mean that the outgoing models would more than likely be reduced in price – so here is hoping. There is even a possibility that its release could be sooner than October, and could be as early as this month to coincide with Apple’s back to School promotion. The promo does not include the Mac mini.
