New BRABUS 600 Based on the C63 AMG
Scheduled to debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show later this month, the Brabus PowerXtra B40 – 600 engine tuning kit is available for both the sedan and wagon body styles of the Mercedes-AMG C63 S. The extra power is unleashed via new mapping for injection and ignition as well as an increase in boost pressure. That’s why the experts have engineered the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe and S Coupe for optimal safety, with standard features like the ATTENTION ASSIST drowsiness detection system, as well as COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS, which works to prevent rear-end collisions but unfortunately can not disable Mercedes’ caps lock. At the same time, peak torque grows from 700 to 800 Nm (516 to 591 lb-ft), available on a plateau between 1,750 and 4,500 rpm. The AMG engine is completely hand-built and helps the new AMG C 63 S achieve an acceleration of 0-100 kmph in 4.0 seconds. The C63 Coupe’s top speed is 155 miles per hour while the S Coupe can climb to 180. The all-stainless exhaust reduces backpressure and features controlled butterfly valves for an electronically controlled sound management. A switch in the cockpit lets drivers choose between a normal mode and the open position of the butterfly valves for a more powerful exhaust note from the V8 engine. Exterior upgrades include a front lip spoiler, air intakes on the side fenders, a rear spoiler and a rear diffuser kit. The rims are 20-inch king-sized Brabus Monoblock T five-spoke wheels with carbon inlays on each spoke, wrapped with 255/30 ZR20 tyres up front and 275/30 ZR20 for the rear.
Interior upgrades include stainless-steel scuff plates with color-changing backlit Brabus logo, aluminium paddle-shifters, or a speedometer with a 340 kph scale. On top of that, wood and carbon trims can be added into the mix with a choice of surface finishes. The C-Class of Mercedes Benz rivals other models like the 3 Series offered by the fellow German automaker BMW and the C 63 S AMG will similarly rival the performance oriented 3 Series variant, the BMW M3.
Inside, the BRABUS upholstery shop’s capabilities are on full display through a fine leather interior that is made to match the customer’s preference.
