New Clip Released From Walking Dead Season Seven

The episode ended on a cruel cliffhanger that saw the newly introduced villain slam his barbed wire baseball bat into a waiting Survivor. AMC released a trailer with tons of new footage dancing around the subject at Comic-Con in San Diego, and this weekend fans were treated to an even fresher look at what’s ahead.

Talking Dead presenter Chris Hardwick will host the episode and actress Yvette Nicole Brown, a huge fan of The Walking Dead, will be the guest of the show.

The season ended without revealing the identity of Negan’s victim, leaving fans angry, shocked and disappointed. The video ran for barely a minute, showing Dwight (Austin Amelio) encountering some crippled zombies under a bridge.

The jury’s still out on whether this is actually a red herring; plus, considering the sheer fandom surrounding the series stalwart – if they kill Daryl, we riot – Norman Reedus’ glowering character is still surely one of those least likely to be bumped off during the premiere of season 7. In addition, the penultimate episode of season 6 saw Dwight shoot and incapacitate Daryl. It is possible that they stripped him of the key when they captured him as a working vehicle is something of importance in the post-apocalyptic world. It’s unclear whether he’s wearing the vest in the finale scene with Negan, but odds are good unless Dwight stole it off of him earlier. The Savior member is wearing a leather vest with wings on the back.

Whether true or no, the prospect of losing everyone’s favorite cross-bow wielding hunter has certainly ruffled some feathers.
