New Couple Alert? Mariah Carey Spotted With Australian Billionaire James

The grandson of Sir Frank Packer has a net worth of $4.6 billion and is Australia’s fourth richest person according to Forbes. He was seen wooing Mimi in Italy this past Friday as they yachted around Capri together.

The apparent new couple met through their mutual friend, Brett Ratner, the website reported.

Mariah Carey is wasting NO time in her new relationship with James Packer. At this point, they are just probably good friends (*wink*).

The billionaire was married for six years to model Erica Baxter and has 3 kids with her.

Reports suggest Packer has already told Carey he wants to marry her and if it’s possible they should tie the knot sooner rather than later and Caret being the hopeless romantic is open to the suggestion.

“They seemed very happy, relaxed, at ease in each other’s company”, an insider told E!

But on Monday, the mother-of-two looked to be ready for a fun night of celebrations and was dressed up in a plunging silver gown which she teamed with oversized sunglasses, dramatic make-up and tight curls throughout her mane. When Ratner made the introduction, Packer was in hot pursuit and apparently it worked out for him as he has Carey all to himself on this island cruise.

One has to wonder if they were employed by Packer to document the “date” and distribute the images and footage to the media. She was hesitant at first because Nick Cannon really broke her heart.

While in Italy, the actress gave a shutout to ex-husband Nick Cannon on Father’s Day with an Instagram picture of their twins, Monroe and Moroccan, holding up homemade signs.

And here’s even the strangest part: even though Mariah has had a rough couple of years, on a personal level, her fans do not approve of the new man in her life.
