New IS video threatens White House attack

A new ISIS video translated by MEMRI TV shows that the Islamic State is planning to strike Washington by destroying the White House.

In the new video published on an ISIS-linked jihadi forum, one of two fighters threatened US and French presidents Barack Obama and Francois Hollande with more attacks similar to the Paris massacre, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute. “We will grill them… with (explosive) belts and auto bombs”.

Earlier on Thursday, Fox News quoted ISIL warning in the video it would blow up the White House.

In the video, an ISIS terrorist says, “Oh Crusader France, Allah willing we shall pulverize your palaces. We shall track you down wherever you go”, a militant proclaims.

The latest threats came one day after the militant group released a video that threatened to attack NY City.

It features an unknown jihadist wearing a black robe favoured by ISIS fighters who shakes a finger skyward and warns: “We started with (Paris), and we shall finish with the White House… which we shall render black with our fire, Allah willing”.

NY Police Commissioner Bill Bratton downplayed the ISIS propaganda video showing NY as a potential target on Thursday, saying the video wasn’t even produced well. “We are not aware of any credible threat here of any Paris like attack”, said James Comey, Federal Bureau of Investigation Director.

“Been there, done that”, Bratton said on “CBS This Morning” Thursday. “We can not be intimidated, and that’s what terrorists seek to do. We will not be intimidated, and we will not live in fear”.

The IS, a militant group that has overrun vast swaths of territory in Iraq and Syria, claimed responsibility for the bloody Paris carnage that killed at least 129 people and injured hundreds of others.
