New ‘Jessica Jones’ Trailer Cautions to Never Wake Superhero Out of Bed
Marvel has releases a short teaser from the upcoming Netflix Original, Jessica Jones.
Some outlets are saying that this is the first footage from the show, but I’m not entirely sure that this is actually footage we’ll see in the series. Minnie Riperton’s Loving You begins to play.
The new promo features Jessica Jones crumpling her alarm clock at 3 p.m. The camera tracks across a bedroom floor, revealing discarded food wrappers, a newspaper, clothes, photos, a camera and an empty bottle of Jack Daniels.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones will premiere in full on Netflix November 20, 2015 at 12:01am PT in all territories where Netflix is available. Daredevil was Marvel TV’s first bona fide “hit”, but one imagines the self-serious, fist fight-heavy style of that series won’t be as prevalent in Jessica Jones.
David Tennant will appear as The Purple Man. Plus, there will be appearances from Carrie Ann Moss, and Mike Colter as Luke Cage (a future Marvel show in itself).
After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City. There’s nothing particular stylish about the shot, and there’s no guarantee that Krysten Ritter is actually in that bed as Jessica Jones.
