New Macs, iPad Pro features planned for after Apple’s September event
Multiple rumors have been circulating these past few months and they all point out to the upcoming launch of new Surface devices including the Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
Given that it is school season again, Microsoft might possibly be targeting a younger demographic audience with the ad. School-goers might find Surface Pro 4 more feasible in terms of flexibility than a Mac.
Rumors are running rampant that the iPad Pro’s Apple Pencil is slated to receive an overhaul as well in a bid to make it compatible with the MacBook Air.
Microsoft is now being rumored to release a computer version of its popular Surface brand. Other sources, however, point out to a Spring 2017 release, allowing Microsoft to further flawless the device ahead of its release.
The Surface Pro 5, meanwhile, will be powered by an Intel Core M processor, up to 16GB RAM, up to 512GB eMMC storage space, accompanied by a high capacity rear camera, most likely 16MP.
If the 2016 launch is chosen, we’d expect Microsoft to hold a hardware event in October to announce the release.
What is interesting about the recent leaks, however, are the specs of the alleged device. However, it’s more possible that in order to create a more powerful device, the company has to push the release date to next year.
New iPad Pro features, including smoother zooming, panning and scrolling and annotations across the operating system, are slated to follow in 2017, alongside a 10.5-inch display for the device, Bloomberg said.
Another thing that the Surface Pro 5 will allegedly be getting is a new processor, the vaunted Intel Kaby Lake.
Both Microsoft and Apple are preparing to launch new laptops this year, but it’s only the Redmond-based company that’s making a big fuss about its existing lineup. It’s unclear if the Instagram post was shared on goal to tease the new laptop or as a mistake.
Microsoft has lots of surprises under its sleeves when it comes to the pre-launching of their gadgets and devices.
The update does seem to be rolling out to all Surface Pro 3 models, rather than just those with Simplo batteries.
