New Mortal Kombat X character teased for a reveal later this week
The Game Awards will started Thursday night, December 3 at 9 pm ET, so make sure to stay tuned for details on this character reveal, and you can check out the teaser trailer for the announcement, even though it shows nothing new. It’s interesting because the four characters that made it into Mortal Kombat X were all really well done. The new characters will be available as parts of the second Kombat Pack downloadable content (DLC) coming to the game.
“Mortal Kombat X” DLC Komat Pack 2 is one of the most highly anticipated updates this year. In a previous “Who’s Next” teaser, the developer announced at least four character reveals in 2016. Tanya, The Predator, Jason and Tremor brought a lot of different elements to the gameplay, including some tournament appearances by Tanya during both EVO and the ESL tournament that led up to EVO.
Thus, it is yet to be seen which characters get added to the game, and players might need to tune in to “The Game Awards” to find out the characters of DLC. Importantly, when the “Kombat Pack” was released it was stated that Tremor would be final character to be added to it. The pack was then referred to as “Kombat Pack1” and priced at $30.
Announcements about who and what will be at the Game Awards on Thursday are coming thick and fast now, so what about another for the pile? Meanwhile, others are just saying they want to have this or that character next. That nearly seems anti-climatic.
NetherRealm has been using “Who’s Next” to introduce new characters. Some people believe that one of the four new characters being revealed will be Fujin, since he was briefly featured in the game’s main story mode.
“Mortal Kombat X” was first released in April 2015 for the PC and gaming consoles like Xbox One and PlayStation 4. While I would have preferred Spawn, it’s likely that it’s going to be Superman over the undead anti-hero.
The long wait could be over for the fans of Mortal Kombat X as the game’s series creator Ed Boon has teased that there will be a character reveal for the Kombat Pack 2 at the Game Awards 2015 tomorrow, December 3rd.
