New Poll Shows Ben Carson Leading Donald Trump Nationally
Carson’s gains can largely be attributed to an increase in support among two particular subgroups: women and evangelicals, both who now seem to prefer him over Trump.
The news of Carson taking over Trump’s hold on the national polls comes just one day after a Monmouth University poll determined that Carson is leading Trump in Iowa by double digits.

Trump also indicated that Carson’s work as a periodic neurosurgeon would go under the microscope.
A third recent poll, conducted by Bloomberg Politics, the Des Moines Register and Selzer & Company, tried to get at the heart of what Republicans like about Carson. Only 28 percent of respondents said they had already made up their minds.
Support for all the other GOP candidates was at 4 per cent or less.
